My name is Dana Drori
I am 31 years old.I was born in Israel but spent most of my childhood in South Africa, where I acquired the English language. We returned to Israel when I was 8 years old and I have been living here ever since. When I was 16 years old I understood that my English skills could be of use to those Israelis who have trouble learning the language and began teaching English. I have been an English teacher for the past 13 years and have been working at a known private school in Israel, helping students pass the matriculation exam in English.
For the past couple of years I have felt that teaching students English is not enough. In order for me to really make a difference in teenagers’ lives I need to invest more of my time and find a framework that is more intensive.
My goals are to create a relationship with the students based on trust and respect. I hope to inspire them to be better to their friends, to their community. I believe it is important to teach them how to respect their bodies and souls by doing sports activities, eating right, having a regular schedule, studying at school and after school and participating in social activities. In addition, I will be explaining the importance of an education as I believe getting an education means having options in life to choose the path you take and not be led through life without possibilities.
For me, the relationship with you, the parents, is of utmost importance. It is important you know how your child is handling his days at school and functioning socially. I would like to know in case your child has concerns or problems because I believe the more I know, the better I will be able to address him/her. Wishing us all a year filled with joy and growth
